Introducing Maurice……the brother of Bruce. While Grenache sits quietly alongside its less famous counterpart Shiraz, we hope it’s not too long before this unheralded legend of the Barossa Valley is recognised.
A playful aromatic profile that is bright, fresh and fragrant, with strawberry and raspberry fruits mingling with rose petal and amaretto.
The pallet is undeniably ripe, synonymous with the Marananga sub-region, with a density that belies its light, bright, colour. However, there is still a silky elegance to the texture, and the wine is flowing and balanced, with fine tannin fusing the mouthfeel. A beautiful release that should develop confidently over the next 3 to 5 years.
